Alexander Pastor

Alexander Pastor is a Ph.D. student at the Institute for Automation of Complex Power Systems (ACS) at RWTH Aachen University since April 2021. Previously, Alexander served as a Software Engineer Intern at Synopsys Inc from April to September 2019, where responsibilities included performance measurement using Java profiling tools, development of algorithms for complex graph-based data structures, implementation of GUI elements, data validation, automated testing, and working with continuous integration pipelines. Additionally, Alexander was a Co-Tutor for a Mandatory C++ Lab Course at RWTH Aachen University from October 2016 to February 2017, supporting students in programming and conducting performance reviews. Alexander holds a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering, Information Technology & Computer Engineering with a major in Computer Engineering from RWTH Aachen University, obtained in September 2020, and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, and Computer Engineering with a focus on Computer Engineering, completed in 2018.
