Jan Moritz Joseph

Jan Moritz Joseph is the Co-Founder and CEO of roofline since February 2024 and serves as a Senior Researcher/Lecturer at RWTH Aachen University, focusing on compilers and architectures for AI accelerators. Previously, Jan held the position of Postdoctoral Researcher, leading projects on neuromorphic AI architectures and AI compilers, and worked as a Visiting Research Scholar at Georgia Institute of Technology. Jan's earlier experience includes roles as a Research Assistant at Otto-von-Guericke University Magdeburg, Universität zu Lübeck, and Hamburg University of Technology, where Jan specialized in computer architectures and simulations. Jan holds a Dr.-Ing. in Computer Architecture from Otto-von-Guericke University Magdeburg, a Master of Science in Computer Science from Universität zu Lübeck, and a Bachelor of Science in Medical Engineering Sciences from the same institution.
