Bob started their career at The Dow Chemical Company where they served as the Global R&D Director. In this role, they were responsible for the development and execution of organizational and business strategy, driving customer intimacy and business growth, identification and execution of external partnerships, portfolio prioritization and delivery, intellectual capital management, hiring, employee pipeline development, and performance management. Bob also served on the Senior Staff for AN Sreeram, Corporate Vice President R&D, and Jim Fitterling, Executive Vice President for Feedstocks, Performance Plastics, Asia and Latin America. Additionally, they were a member of the Board of Directors and Audit Committee for the Michigan Molecular Institute.

After their time at The Dow Chemical Company, Bob joined SABIC where they now lead the technology and innovation initiatives. Under their leadership, SABIC has become a world-leading provider of innovative solutions that address global challenges such as climate change, energy efficiency, healthcare, transportation and food security.

Bob Maughon first attended Brookstone high school where they completed their high school diploma. Bob then went on to study chemistry at Rice University where they obtained their BA. Finally, they completed their Phd in Chemistry at Caltech.

Their manager is Yousef Abdullah Al-Benyan, Vice-Chairman & CEO. Some of their coworkers include Abdulrahman Al-Fageeh - Executive Vice President, Petrochemicals, Faisal Al Suwailem - EVP, Shared Services, and Timothy Leveille - Executive Vice President, Corporate Finance.
