Theng Kiat (Tj) Ng

Theng Kiat (Tj) Ng has a diverse range of work experience in software engineering and development. Currently, they work as a Software Engineer at SafeAI, Inc. since 2022. Prior to this, they founded Snakeoil OS in 2016, where they designed and defined an Audiophile Operating System.

Theng Kiat (Tj) also served as a Senior Device Software Engineer at Cubic Transportation Systems from 2021 to 2022 on a fixed 6-month contract. In this role, they cleaned up existing MSVC solution/project files and migrated them to a better CMake system. Theng Kiat (Tj) also identified and re-aligned common modules within the existing code base and stripped them from the code.

Before that, they were a Senior Software Engineer at RCT from 2021 to 2021 and a Software Engineer at Vizcom Technologies from 2016 to 2020. Additionally, they gained experience as a Software Developer at RPS Group from 2006 to 2016, where they developed analysis and presentation software for meteorological and oceanographic measurements, including standardizing conventions and formats.

Their earliest work experience was as a Software Developer at Calorie King from 2003 to 2006.

Theng Kiat (Tj) Ng started their education at Ngee Ann Polytechnic, where they pursued an Advanced Diploma in Computer Science from an unspecified start year until 1996. Theng Kiat (Tj) then went on to attend The University of Western Australia, completing a Bachelor of Computing & Mathematics (Hons) degree from 1999 to 2001. Tj Ng further pursued their education at the same university, obtaining a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Computer Science from 2002 to 2003.
