Luke Walpole

Luke Walpole is a seasoned professional in government relations and communications with a robust background in journalism and public policy. Currently serving as the Senior Government Relations Manager at Sainsbury's since March 2024, Luke has previously held significant roles at PLMR - Communications with Impact, where duties included Account Director and Senior Account Manager. A freelance journalist from January 2020 to June 2023, Luke contributed to esteemed publications such as The Guardian and Empire Magazine, focusing on film, culture, and sport. Early career experiences include a variety of positions within the UK Civil Service, culminating as a Fast Stream Trainee, along with roles in strategy and policy advisory capacities.
