Sonu Sharma

Sonu Sharma is a seasoned technology leader with extensive experience in software engineering and data infrastructure. Currently serving as Senior Director of Software Engineering at Salesforce since October 2025, Sonu previously held the position of Engineering Leader at SoFi from April 2023 to October 2025, where oversight included three teams focused on Data Infrastructure, Data Platform Services, and Data Governance and Privacy Engineering. Prior experience includes being the Head of Data Platform Engineering at Eventbrite from May 2022 to April 2023, where responsibilities involved enabling data ingestion and curation for analytics and machine learning applications. Sonu's career began at Dell Technologies as a Software Engineer from August 2006 to March 2008, followed by a 14-year tenure at JP Morgan Chase as a Senior Software Engineering Manager from April 2008 to April 2022. Sonu holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electronics and Telecommunication from Pune University, obtained in 2006.
