Russ Testa

Chief Talent Officer at Salo LLC

Our biggest priority is to attract and retain the best talent. We are also focused on supporting our mission, vision and values as well continuing to develop the culture that is true to the Salo Way.

I have been the leader of several Human Resources teams in both large and mid-sized organization. Through those experiences I have learned the technical craft of HR but also the importance of building a strong team and developing strong business relationships as a trusted partner. You can always accomplish more if the team is aligned and there is mutual trust and respect. I have also learned that keeping the work environment calm and fun produces better results.

Involving the HR team and those we support in identifying our priorities and determining the path we will take to get the desired outcome. That provides an opportunity to learn from the team which helps make better decisions. And it is important to make sure we stay on track and course correct as needed. Follow up and communication are key to achieving results.

Growing up I was a competitive swimmer for about 14 years. That helped teach me the discipline that good work, commitment and passion gets the best results.

I played a scrimmage football game with the San Francisco 49ers. I attended the Emmy Awards and was invited onto the red carpet. I was a life guard at George Lucas’ house for his company’s 4th of July party. Hint: two are true!

I love how fun is woven in to the professional culture. I am proud of the service we provide to our clients and our consultants.
