Teboho Makhabane

Teboho Makhabane is an experienced professional in the field of ESG and impact investing, currently serving as the Head of ESG and Impact at Sanlam Investments since August 2021, where responsibilities include overseeing the implementation of ESG policies and ensuring regulatory compliance. Prior to this role, Teboho worked at Edge Growth as a Post Investment Management Associate, managing post-investment activities such as financial management, compliance, impact measurement, and portfolio reporting from February 2018 to July 2021. Teboho also held positions as an Impact Investing Researcher at the Bertha Centre for Social Innovation and Entrepreneurship and as an Equity Research Assistant at Banco BPI, focusing on various sectors in Africa. Teboho's academic background includes a Master of Commerce in Development Finance from the Graduate School of Business at the University of Cape Town, along with a BCom Honours in Financial Analysis and Portfolio Management and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Applied Mathematics from the same institution.
