Nils Widderich

Nils Widderich is an experienced quality leader currently serving as the Head of Quality for the Drug Substance Manufacturing Department at Sanofi's Site Frankfurt Biologics & Oncology since January 2016. Widderich has effectively led multiple quality management teams, overseeing quality operations in both biologics and insulin product manufacturing. Prior roles include Head Quality of the Autonomous Production Unit Multi-Insulin Plant and Head of Quality Assurance for Quality Control. Earlier in the career, Nils served as a Contamination Control Manager and a Quality Manager in Microbiology. Academic achievements include a Dr. rer. nat. in Molecular Microbiology, a Master’s in Molecular and Cellular Biology, and a Bachelor’s in Biology, all obtained from the Philipp University of Marburg, supplemented by research experience at Harvard Medical School.
