Julio René Flores

Julio René Flores is currently the Dean of Counseling and Support Programs at Santa Rosa Junior College, where responsibilities include planning and directing district-wide counseling operations and enhancing student success through educational planning and curriculum development. Prior to this role, Julio served as Coordinator of Student Equity and Coordinator of Institutional Effectiveness at Rio Hondo College, focusing on student equity, social justice initiatives, and institutional research. Additional experience includes various counseling and teaching positions at educational institutions, including the University of Southern California, where Julio lectured graduate students in the Educational Counseling program. Julio holds a Doctor of Education in Community College/Higher Education Educational Leadership from California State University, Long Beach, and has a rich background in counseling, student development, and higher education administration.
