Lawrence Kumbun

Lawrence Kumbun is a highly experienced Senior Project Engineer at Oil Search Limited, with a career spanning over 15 years in the engineering sector. Since November 2008, Lawrence has led the Field Engineering Group, managing Major Expense Jobs (MEJ) while ensuring safety, timeliness, and budget compliance. Prior to this role, Lawrence served as a Project Engineer, focusing on engineering design developments and project management. Previously, Lawrence worked as a Project Engineer at InterOil Corporation, where responsibilities included the installation and upgrading of fuel systems across Papua New Guinea, and as a Petroleum Engineer with the Papua New Guinea Department of Petroleum & Energy, overseeing regulatory compliance and project performance monitoring. Lawrence holds a Master of Science in Pipeline Engineering from Newcastle University and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from PNG University of Technology.
