Zaffer Syed

Zaffer Syed is an experienced professional in the biomedical and healthcare sectors, currently serving as Entrepreneur in Residence and Advisor at Texas Medical Center Innovation since July 2017 and as an Advisor at Saranas since February 2017. Previously, Zaffer held roles including President and CEO, as well as Senior Vice President of Marketing & Clinical Development at OrthoAccel® Technologies, Inc., and contributed significantly to the company's clinical and regulatory strategies for Class II orthodontic devices. With a strong background at Boston Scientific and St. Jude Medical, Zaffer has overseen clinical marketing teams and managed numerous clinical trials, achieving notable patient enrollment growth. Zaffer holds a BE in Biomedical Engineering from Vanderbilt University, an MBA in Marketing & Strategy from UCLA Anderson School of Management, and an MS in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Michigan.
