Hope Barnes

Hope Barnes, Ed.D, serves as the Director of DEI Professional Learning and previously held the role of Senior Equity Training Specialist at The School District of Philadelphia since March 2022. In addition, Hope Barnes has been an Adjunct Professor at Rowan University since January 2017. Previously, Hope Barnes worked as an Elementary Teacher, Social Justice Curriculum Coordinator, and DEI Leader at Mastery Charter School - Harrity Elementary Campus from August 2017 to March 2022, and as a Math/ELA Teacher at Democracy Prep Public Schools from August 2013 to June 2017. Hope Barnes’ earlier experience includes positions as an Elementary Teacher with Mount Laurel School District and Parkway School District, as well as a teacher at Baltimore City Public Schools. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Management from Alcorn State University, a Master of Education in Elementary Education from the University of Maryland Baltimore County, and a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership from Rider University.
