Richard Pineda named Chair of The Small and Emerging Contractors Advisory Forum
Government contractor community, The Small and Emerging Contractors Advisory Forum (SECAF), has announced Richard Pineda has been appointed Chair of its Board of Directors. Mr. Pineda is the current President and CEO at CALIBRE Systems, Inc., and has more than 23 years of experience in government, finance and leadership positions. He succeeds co-Chairs Matthew Agresti and Sirena Johnson.
“It is a privilege to take on this role from Matt and Sirena. They have done an extraordinary job leading our organization and serving SECAF members this last year,” said Mr. Pineda. “As Chair, my vision is to build on that solid foundation, deepen our member engagement through virtual events, and expand our reach outside of the Washington, DC region. As someone who co-created his own small business in the past, I understand the immense value SECAF brings to the small and emerging market of Government Contractors and Service Provides. We have a tremendous value proposition for Government Contractors in terms of education, advocacy, access, networking, and collaboration. Their success stories are the cornerstone of SECAF’s future.”
Mr. Pineda will be assisted in his role by new Vice-Chair Mitchell Ross. Mr. Ross is a Principal at management and consulting firm Acquisition and Management, LLC, with particular expertise in the public sector.
Meghan Gifford has also been appointed Secretary on the Board, Ms. Gifford is Director of Corporate Development at Octo Consulting Group, and brings expertise in communications and business development.
Cordia Partners Partner Mark Melton remains on the Board as Treasurer. Mr. Melton is a financial executive with broad experience in accounting, finance and auditing.
