Alexandra Silva currently serves as the Environment and Biodiversity Manager at Secil, a position held since January 2019, where responsibilities include chairing the Cembureau Biodiversity Task Force, managing biodiversity and quarry rehabilitation projects, and collaborating with universities on scientific management initiatives. Silva has been instrumental in sustainability reporting and stakeholder engagement, while also providing technical support across various Secil Group sites globally. Since June 2017, Silva has led the CEMBUREAU Biodiversity Task Force, contributing to the development of a biodiversity roadmap for the European Cement Association. Previous roles at Secil from September 2005 to September 2018 encompassed project management in quarry rehabilitation, ecological restoration, and biodiversity initiatives. Academic qualifications include an Engineer's Degree in Biophysics Engineering from the University of Évora and advanced studies in business sustainability and management from the University of Cambridge and INDEG-ISCTE.
