Charlie Honig

Charlie Honig is currently the Head of Legal & Compliance at SeedFi. Prior to that, they served as General Counsel at LendStreet Financial from January 2018 to September 2018. While at LendStreet, Charlie initiated a compliance review and helped structure relationships with counterparties, among other things.

Before LendStreet, Charlie worked as Managing Counsel, Regulations at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau from October 2011 to January 2018. In this role, they provided legal advice on a variety of consumer financial laws and regulations, including the Truth in Lending Act and the Fair Credit Reporting Act.

Earlier in their career, Charlie worked as a Compliance Specialist at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York from June 2011 to September 2011 and as Senior Counsel at the Congressional Oversight Panel from December 2008 to April 2010.

Charlie Honig's educational career began with a BA in Social Studies from Harvard University. Charlie then attended the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, where they studied Jewish/Judaic Studies. Finally, they received their JD from Columbia Law School.

Charlie Honig reports to Jim McGinley, CEO. They are on a team with Eric Burton - COO, Bernardo Menezes - Head of Product, and Rodrigo Menezes - CTO.
