Congzhi Zhu

Congzhi Zhu is a Polymer Chemist at Sekisui Specialty Chemicals since October 2025, previously serving as a Research Scientist at Formosa Plastics Corporation, U.S.A. from January 2022 to October 2025. Prior experience includes a role as a Postdoctoral Researcher at The University of Texas at Austin from June 2020 to January 2022 and as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of California, Los Angeles from June 2019 to June 2020. During this time, Congzhi Zhu developed porous polymeric networks for lithium battery cathodes and improved the conductivity of conjugated polymers. Academic background includes a PhD in Organic Chemistry, Polymer Chemistry, and Material Science from Texas A&M University (2013-2019) and a bachelor's degree from Nanjing University (2009-2013). Research involved designing novel organic materials for electronic devices, enhancing the synthesis and solubility of polymeric materials, and applying these innovations to improve mechanical performance in epoxy films.
