Laila Sharshar is an experienced software engineer with a robust background in technical leadership and software architecture. Currently serving as a Senior Principal Software Engineer at SemanticBits, now part of ICF since November 2019, Laila focuses on enhancing healthcare outcomes through technology. Prior to this role, Laila held significant positions at the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children from August 2011 to November 2019, contributing as a Software Engineer, Software Director, and Lead Architect to initiatives aimed at combating child exploitation and facilitating family reunification for missing children. Laila began a professional career as a Lead Developer at NewportWorks from 2001 to 2005. Laila earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of Virginia, completing studies in May 1992.
