Yongtak Hyun

Yongtak Hyun is a seasoned professional in the field of engineering with extensive experience in semiconductor and display manufacturing equipment. As Vice President and Display Equipment Team Leader at SEMES since April 2016, Yongtak has been instrumental in driving the development of advanced technologies. Prior roles include Digital Factory Team Leader at Doosan Infracore (2008-2016), focusing on smart manufacturing solutions, and a Research Engineer at Werkzeugmaschinenlabor WZL der RWTH Aachen (1998-2003), specializing in machine automation technology. Additionally, Yongtak served as Principal Engineer at the Engineering Research Center for Advanced Control and Instrumentation (1992-1998), where contributions were made towards factory automation and CNC controllers. Yongtak holds a Dr.-Ing. degree in Maschinenbau from RWTH Aachen University and Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Seoul National University.
