Karen Mendler

Karen Mendler is the Director of Compensation, Benefits & HRIS at Seneca College. Karen has over 20 years of experience in payroll and benefits management. Prior to their current role, they were the Payroll and Benefits Manager at Ceridian Canada, responsible for managing seven payroll administrators and ensuring the accurate and timely delivery of various HR/Payroll transactions for bi-weekly, semi-monthly and monthly payrolls, including unionized and non-unionized employees, in all provinces, including benefit enrolment and deductions. Karen has also held the role of Client Services Consultant at Molson Coors Canada. In their current role, they are responsible for leading the development and implementation of compensation, benefits and HRIS programs and initiatives that support the College's strategic plan and contribute to a positive employee experience.

Karen Mendler has a post diploma in human resource management from Sheridan College. Karen also has a bachelor's degree in psychology from Western University. In addition, they have certification from The Canadian Payroll Association as a Canadian Payroll Manager and is currently in the process of becoming certified as a Compensation Professional from WorldatWork.

Karen Mendler reports to David Agnew, President. They work with Renata D’innocenzo - Chief of Staff and AVP, Public Affairs & Community Engagement, Ted Moriarty - Director, Talent Management & Organizational Development, and Dean Hughes - Executive Director, Advancement & Alumni.
