John Beard serves as the Chief Medical Officer for Patient Care Solutions at GE Healthcare since January 2022. In addition to current responsibilities, John Beard holds positions on the Board of Directors for the Anesthesia Patient Safety Foundation and serves as a member of the Board of Advisors for Sepsis Alliance and the biomedical engineering program at Northern Illinois University. Previous roles include Chief Medical Officer and Head of Medical Affairs at ICU Medical, and Chief Medical Officer and founding CEO at Monitor Mask Inc. An extensive medical career also includes practice as an anesthesiologist in various organizations and a brief tenure as Medical Director at Pfizer. Academic credentials include a Doctor of Medicine from the University of California, San Francisco, and an MBA from the Haslam College of Business at the University of Tennessee.
