Stephen Jay

Stephen Jay is an experienced professional in industrial maintenance and production management, currently serving as a Course Coordinator and Instructor for the Industrial Millwright Mechanic program at Sheridan College since August 2022. Prior to this role, Stephen held various positions including Maintenance and Production Manager at State Window Corporation, where significant achievements included the seamless commissioning of a 280,000 sq. ft. facility without affecting production. Stephen's extensive background includes overseeing maintenance operations at ASSA ABLOY and ZEISS Group, where effective budget management and preventive maintenance strategies were implemented, resulting in substantial cost savings. With a solid educational foundation in Millwright and Industrial Mechanics from Durham College, Stephen has demonstrated a capability to lead teams, improve operational efficiencies, and enhance training programs across multiple organizations.
