Kristin Makulowich

Kristin Makulowich is a Senior Software Developer at Shopify since July 2022, previously serving in various roles including Software Developer, Data Engineer, and Data Scientist within the same company. Before joining Shopify, Kristin worked as a Data Scientist at Validere and as a Graduate Research Student at the University of Toronto, where significant contributions included developing semiconducting nanowire-FETs and analyzing sensor data. Kristin possesses extensive experience in data analysis using Python and has performed research in diverse fields including biomedical sensor development at Sunnybrook and nanotechnology applications in energy at Natural Resources Canada. Kristin holds a MASc in Materials Engineering from the University of Toronto and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Nanotechnology Engineering from the University of Waterloo. Additionally, Kristin has experience as a Teaching Assistant and Data Specialist, facilitating student learning and analyzing educational data.
