Yumi L.

Yumi L. currently serves as the Head of Legal at ShopMy since September 2025 and is a member of the Cyber Counsel Group, an exclusive non-profit for in-house cybersecurity lawyers, since November 2024. Additionally, Yumi L. is a charter member of The L Suite (TechGC), a peer community for General Counsel established in October 2022. Previous roles include General Counsel at Forage from January 2024 to September 2025, and two stints as General Counsel at January from October 2022 to December 2023. Prior to that, Yumi L. held various legal positions at Etsy as Assistant General Counsel and Senior Counsel focusing on Product & Marketing, and at Instacart as Director & Associate General Counsel for Product & IP. Yumi L. has also contributed as a Board Member at Greens Restaurant and served as Counsel at Macy's, where participation included the Legal Diversity and Inclusion Council. Educational qualifications include a Juris Doctorate from the University of California, College of the Law, San Francisco, and a Bachelor of Science from New York University.
