David Balter

David Balter serves as the Global Property Loss Prevention Director for Insurance at Siemens Energy since March 2020, focusing on fire safety, regulatory compliance, and property fire risk control on a global scale. Prior to this role, David Balter was the Manager of Fire Risk Control and Loss Prevention at Siemens from October 2014 to March 2020, overseeing similar responsibilities for North and South America. Additional experience includes managing fire prevention and protection initiatives at The Walt Disney Company, serving as a Fire Safety Engineer at New York Presbyterian Hospital, and working as a Fire Strategist at Arup. David Balter also contributed to code development at the New York City Department of Buildings early in the career. David Balter holds a Bachelor of Science in Fire Science from John Jay College and an Associate in Applied Science in Fire Science Technology from Middlesex College.
