Gary Lasky

Gary Lasky has extensive experience in environmental advocacy and legal services. As the Legal Chair for the Tehipite Chapter of the Sierra Club since 2007, Lasky has coordinated litigation to protect public health and the environment, successfully guiding a legal challenge against Friant Ranch. Lasky's leadership roles include serving on the Council of Club Leaders Executive Committee and managing activities for the Tehipite Chapter as Chapter Chair. In 2022, Lasky worked as a Staff Attorney at DNA-People's Legal Services, providing legal representation to low-income clients, and previously served as a Registered Legal Services Attorney with Central California Legal Services, focusing on housing law. Lasky's political involvement includes organizing campaigns and serving on various committees within the California Democratic Party and local organizations. Lasky holds degrees from The University of New Mexico School of Law, Cornell University, UC Irvine, and additional education in Geographic Information Systems from Fresno State University.
