Shaun McMaster is an experienced IC designer currently working at Silicon Labs since March 2023, contributing to the design of a Machine Learning offload engine. Previously, Shaun served as a Senior Principal IC Designer and Microarchitect at Rockley Photonics Inc., where responsibilities included architecting and implementing an RTL for a dual CPU SoC that utilized ARM M55 and M0+ cores in a wearable infrared spectrum analyzer. Shaun’s extensive background also includes a role as a Technologist at Western Digital, focusing on flash PHY development for SSDs, and experience in ASIC design at STMicroelectronics and Arrow Electronics. Shaun's career began at Texas Instruments, designing FPGAs and PCBs for military applications, and spans more than two decades across various high-tech companies in the semiconductor and electronics industries. Shaun holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from South Dakota Mines and a Bachelor of Arts in Math/Physics from Chadron State College.
