Robert Smith

Robert Smith has been working in law enforcement for over 20 years. Robert started their career as a police detective with the Beaumont Police Department in August of 1991. In March of 2015, they became the Director of Police Academy at Lamar Institute of Technology, and then in October of 2017 they were promoted to Police Lieutenant at Lamar University. Robert is currently the Silsbee ISD Police Chief.

Robert Smith has a Master's degree in Criminal Justice/Law Enforcement Administration from Lamar University, a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Lamar University, and an Associate of Science in Law Enforcement from Lamar University.

They work with Catherine Whitehead - Director of Elementary Curriculum, Sherrie Thornhill - Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources, and David Biddle - Director of Operations. Their manager is Gregg Weiss, Superintendent.
