Sean McDermott

Sean McDermott is a seasoned executive with extensive experience in sales and marketing within the financial technology sector. Currently serving as Vice President and Sales & Marketing Director at SimCorp since August 2014, McDermott previously held the position of General Manager at Calypso Technology from October 2004 to August 2014, where leadership of the Asia Pacific sales team resulted in significant sales achievements across multiple countries. Early career roles included Country Manager for Japan and Korea at Wall Street Systems and Managing Director at FNX, Ltd, where McDermott was instrumental in establishing the company’s presence in Asia and significantly increasing regional revenues. McDermott earned a degree in Computer Applications from Waterford Institute of Technology from 1983 to 1987.
