Brett Howell

President, QSP Solutions at Simulations Plus

Brett Howell has a diverse work experience spanning over 15 years. Brett began their career as a Management Intern at Gerdau Ameristeel in 2005. Brett then worked as a Research Assistant and Graduate Student at the University of Florida, focusing on drug overdose treatment with liposomes. Brett also served as a Teaching Assistant during their time at the university. Brett then moved on to join The Hamner Institutes for Health Sciences, where they held various roles including Research Investigator, Research Scientist, Lead Scientist and Manager, and Associate Director in the field of DILI-sim.

In 2015, Brett became the Chief Executive Officer of DILIsym Services, Inc., a position they held until 2017. Since 2017, they have been serving as the President of QSP Solutions at Simulations Plus, Inc., focusing on developing quantitative systems pharmacology (QSP) and toxicology (QST) modeling solutions for the pharmaceutical industry.

Brett Howell obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering and Textile Engineering from North Carolina State University from 2002 to 2006. Subsequently, they pursued a doctoral degree in Chemical Engineering and graduated with a Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Florida between 2006 and 2010.
