Quay Chew Eng

Senior Vice President, Flight Operations at Singapore Airlines

Captain Quay Chew Eng joined Singapore Airlines in 1978 as a cadet pilot. He was promoted to the rank of Captain in 1991 and moved up the ranks as Line Instructor Pilot and Instructor Pilot.

In 2000, he joined the management ranks of Flight Operations when he was appointed as Management Pilot (Special Duties) Training and later as Deputy Chief Pilot Boeing 747-400. He was seconded to SilkAir as Chief Pilot in 2003. In 2008, he returned to SIA and served in the Flight Operations management as Chief Pilot A330/A340, Chief Pilot Training and was later promoted as Divisional Vice President Training. He was redesignated Divisional Vice President Line Operations in 2014.

Capt Quay was promoted to Senior Vice President Flight Operations in October 2016.

Captain Quay has flown several aircraft types operated by the Company. These include Airbus aircraft such as the A310, A330, A340, and the A350, as well as Boeing models such as the 727 and 747.
