Georgios Sermaidis

Georgios Sermaidis is a Senior Software Developer at Sky, with extensive experience in software development, risk analysis, and statistics. Prior to Sky, Georgios served as a Development Lead at Halliburton, where responsibilities included developing a geoscientific desktop application, upgrading its graphical interface to Qt5, and managing CI/CD pipelines. At MyLotto24 Ltd, Georgios designed a risk analysis methodology, implemented an efficient simulation framework in C++, and successfully pitched a novel risk pricing mechanism. Academic experience includes a Postdoctoral Research Associate position at Lancaster University, focusing on multivariate diffusion estimation and advising PhD students, along with early roles in data analysis in healthcare settings. Georgios holds a PhD in Statistics from the University of Warwick and both an MSc and BSc in Statistics from Athens University of Economics and Business.
