Sung Wha Kang

Sung Wha Kang is an accomplished Interaction Designer at Spatial Labs since October 2021, with previous experience as a Design Associate at TAD and a Design Research Assistant at the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD). At RISD, Kang contributed to the MS1 Spacesuit analog project, focusing on the design and fabrication of components for extreme environments. Additional roles included teaching assistance and monitoring in various workshops, emphasizing safety and student support in design processes. Kang has also led the RISD Rover Team for the NASA Human Exploration Rover Challenge, participated in the Caltech Space Challenge, and worked on improving NICU environments at Rhode Island Hospital. Educational credentials include a Master of Science in Transportation Systems & Design from ArtCenter College of Design and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Industrial and Product Design from RISD.
