Yawar Afzali

Yawar Afzali is an experienced engineer currently serving as an R&D Surface Engineer at SLB, focusing on technology and process development in the Surface systems business line. Notable contributions include analyzing wellhead hanger designs and conducting pressure and fixture testing of newly developed hanger seals. Prior to SLB, Yawar held positions as a Design Engineer at Travis Body & Trailer, Inc., and Project Engineer at Skypersonic, Inc., where significant projects included the design and validation of camera modules for remote piloting systems used in NASA's Mars simulation campaign and flight testing of drones. Additional expertise includes managing product ergonomics and design as a Mechanical Engineer and conducting HIL modeling as a Testing Validation and Integration Engineer intern. Yawar holds a Master's degree in Automotive Mechanical Engineering from Lawrence Technological University and a Master's in Project Management from the University of the Cumberlands, alongside a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Methodist College of Engineering & Technology.
