Sarah Rumfelt is currently the head of marketing at [Soda Health](/org/sodahealth). Prior to their current position, Sarah held various roles in the marketing and finance industries. 

Sarah began their career as a treasury summer analyst at Regions Bank in May 2019. In this role, they were responsible for various financial tasks such as budgeting and forecasting. 

In August 2020, Sarah became the facility director at Kappa Alpha Theta Headquarters. In this role, they were responsible for maintaining relationships with vendors, ordering supplies, and overseeing the regular maintenance of the facility. Sarah also created a COVID reporting dashboard for the University of Alabama. 

From September 2020 to November 2020, Sarah worked as a marketing contractor for Radest Ventures Inc. In this role, they developed marketing collateral for FP Omni Solutions, an Atlanta-based fintech firm. 

In November 2020, Sarah began working at [Walmart](/org/walmart) as an associate merchant. In this role, they were responsible for the performance of a $300M portfolio of beauty merchandise. Sarah also led a new category initiative, which included brand acquisition, modular design, and marketing. Sarah sought out and onboarded 10 new brands within their first six months in this role. 

Sarah has proven herself to be a hardworking and dedicated employee throughout their career. Sarah has a strong background in both marketing and finance, which makes their well-suited for their current role as head of marketing at [Soda Health](/org/sodahealth).

Viki is an accomplished, results-oriented manager with years of achievement in data-driven healthcare consulting.

In her most recent role at Conifer Health Solutions, her goal was to empower clients and work side-by-side with their marketing teams on operational performance, forecast and innovation strategies. Viki has extensive experience in the use of database systems and analytical techniques delivering results for over 200 hospitals and clinics. She gains maximum satisfaction not just from the success of a project well done, but even more from the success of those she supports and mentors.

Viki is a board member and active volunteer with THORN (Thankfully Helping Others Real Needs), an organization that supplies 1,000 meals, clothing, first aid and hygiene supplies weekly to needy/underserved families in the Tampa Bay area.

Jared is a highly motivated leader with significant experience integrating retail and healthcare to drive meaningful outcomes.  

Jared most recently worked at Shipt where he helped found and launch the healthcare division. His team built a directed spend payments product within the Shipt Marketplace, allowing health plan members to shop healthy foods and receive same-day delivery from over 120 retailers. Jared believes that true innovation requires great partners to learn and grow alongside. His experience building from concept to new vertical with exponential growth was one of the biggest thrills of his career.  

In his spare time, Jared enjoys volunteering for his church’s "serve the city" program, which supports businesses and families in downtown Wilmington, North Carolina.

Each of Helena’s endeavors is centered around helping others.

Prior to [Soda Health](/org/sodahealth), Helena was a software developer at [TechSmith](/org/techsmith), where she focused on Windows desktop applications. Her time there taught her that because problems evolve over time, solutions should also evolve to better address people’s needs.

Her human-centric approach served her well while creating web applications for non-profit organizations and teaching game development and programming courses to students at Hack4Impact and CodeREV Kids, respectively.

Helena has a Bachelor of Science in computer science and linguistics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

Chris Brown is the co-founder and CTO of [Soda Health](/org/sodahealth). Chris has also served as the CTO of Aurora Investment Management and [Backstop Solutions Group](/org/backstop-solutions-group). Prior to that, they were an Integration Architect at Hewitt. Chris has over 20 years of experience in the technology industry and has been responsible for firmwide development tooling, devops, infrastructure, etc., as well as security and internal IT on an emeritus/advisory basis. Chris has also led "special projects" such as technical due diligence for M&A, integration projects with our parent company, Optum/UnitedHealth Group, and managing our long-range technology capability plan. Right now, their primary focus is making it as easy as possible to get software from laptops to production.

Michielu Menning is currently a Software Engineer at [Soda Health](/org/sodahealth). Prior to this, they worked as a Team Lead and Software Engineer II at [Sezzle](/org/sezzle) from August 2020 to December 2021. There, they built, monitored, and maintained critical shopper experiences that supports over 3 million active monthly users. They also led engineering efforts that saved [Sezzle](/org/sezzle) ~$30,000 a day through implementing, releasing, and monitoring a new payment concept. Furthermore, they improved system performance by investigating problems, developing specifications, identifying trends, and recommending solutions. Additionally, Michielu ran and maintained onboarding classes for new engineers and documented coding standards and best practices to help get them up to speed. Finally, they balanced backlog from our technical debt, shopper support agents, and product owners. Prior to [Sezzle](/org/sezzle), Michielu worked as an Application Developer at Securian Financial from June 2019 to August 2020. Before that, they worked as a Front-End Web Developer at the Institute for Transportation at [Iowa State University](/org/iowa-state-university) from September 2018 to May 2019. They also have experience working in analytics and information management services as an intern at Boeing from May 2018 to August 2018. James Coombs is a software engineer who currently works at [Soda Health](/org/sodahealth). James has previous experience working as a platform associate and devops lead at Amount and [Rally Health](/org/rally-health-inc). James also interned at Avid Design and was a student manager at Crossroads Cafe.

James Coombs has always been interested in computers and technology. In high school, they took several AP computer science courses and knew that they wanted to pursue a career in the field. James attended [Rochester Institute of Technology](/org/rochester-institute-of-technology), where they studied computer science and graduated with honors.

While at RIT, James worked as a student manager at Crossroads Cafe. James was responsible for managing the cafe's social media accounts and website. James also designed promotional materials and helped with event planning. After graduation, they interned at Avid Design, where they worked on content creation and social media marketing.

In May 2018, James began working as a software engineer at [Rally Health](/org/rally-health-inc). James worked on a variety of projects, including developing software to help automate the company's microservice platform. James also led the junior development program, training four junior engineers in six months.

In March 2021, James left [Rally Health](/org/rally-health-inc) to join [Soda Health](/org/sodahealth) as a software engineer. James is excited to continue their career at [Soda Health](/org/sodahealth), where they can use their skills to help improve the lives of others through technology.

Zach Newcomb is currently the finance manager at [Soda Health](/org/sodahealth). Prior to this, they worked as an equity research analyst at Barclays Investment Bank from July 2021 to March 2022. Zach also worked as a summer equity research analyst at Foundation Resource Management from June 2019 to August 2019. Newcomb has a degree in finance from the University of California, Berkeley.

Zach Newcomb

John Michael King is currently the Associate Director of Implementation at Soda Health. Prior to this, they worked as an Implementation Project Manager and Lead Implementation Manager / Product Operations Manager at [Rally Health](/org/rally-health-inc). 

King has extensive experience in leading multi-phased implementations, including a public-facing cross-carrier healthcare cost estimation tool for the [Mayo Clinic](/org/mayo-clinic). John has also managed strategic client accounts through their implementations of the Rally Engage wellness product. In their previous role as Lead Implementation Manager / Product Operations Manager, King directed a strategic program that unified three major product lines into a single experience platform. John also launched three Medicare-focused digital health products by designing and enacting new delivery processes and implementation best practices.

John Michael King

Seth is fascinated with the power of technology.

He spent his MBA summer with Soda Health developing marketing landscaping tools that transform the way the company prospects, targets, builds and sells solutions to fit partners’ unique solutions.

Prior to business school, Seth held internships in both the healthcare and technology industries. At HCA Healthcare, he worked alongside the internal audit team to conduct information systems audits by assessing risks, validating controls and making recommendations to internal clients. His time managing a student-led project for Pariveda Solutions was spent revamping legacy community service processes. He managed six students and provided guidance to the team using agile methodology. Seth has also held positions at CGI and Newport Academy.

He has a bachelor’s degree in management information systems and MBA from the University of Alabama.

Seth Townsend

Jacob’s purpose has always been rooted in his desire to produce equitable outcomes. 

Prior to his transition into software engineering, Jacob worked as a counselor in alternative high schools in the Denver area with a focus on improving equitable education outcomes. Knowing that he had a particular passion for front-end development and creating intuitive and responsive web applications, Jacob decided to leverage his existing skillset and completed an all-stack software engineering bootcamp through General Assembly, a private education organization that specializes in cultivating diverse tech talent.  

As a software engineer for Soda Health, Jacob will utilize that talent to continue enhancing Soda Health’s purpose-built solution designed to eliminate health inequities.  

Jacob has a Master of Education degree in Counseling from Clemson University.

Chris has always thrived in fast-paced work environments, possessing an innate ability to learn on-the-fly and immediately add value wherever he goes.

Prior to joining Soda Health, Chris was a UI Designer for Wolfram Research, where he was responsible for a wide range of user interface designs and solutions across web and native app platforms. It was here that Chris developed a rapid prototyping system of high-fidelity prototypes, migrated his team onto a new all-in-one platform for digital design, and worked closely on projects with the CEO. Chris’s background and skillset uniquely position him to continue building out Soda Health’s best-in-class member experience.

Chris Perardi

Grae’s extensive technical skillset allows for the efficient creation of meaningful solutions.

Grae started his career at Pendo.io where worked on the core back-end platform team that built and maintained Pendo's event ingestion pipeline, which ingested 15 billion events per day. He also handled on-call escalation issues, patched urgent security vulnerabilities, and built out a secure single sign-on system for the organization. Grae brings diverse software and security experience to Soda Health’s engineering team and will therefore contribute to increased productivity across the board.

Jordan is an experienced public health leader dedicated to the advancement of health equity on a local and global scale. 

Prior to joining Soda Health, Jordan led strategy for Johnson & Johnson's Global Market Access Alzheimer's health equity initiatives, consulted for a number of domestic and global health initiatives, shaped projects to improve vaccine access in the state of Colorado, and served as a community health professional in the Peace Corps. Jordan is skilled in project management, human-centered design, and building sustainable partnerships. 

Jordan holds an MPH from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and an MBA with a focus in health, technology, and innovation from the Carey Business School. She completed her BA in Sociology at Colorado College where she graduated with Phi Beta Kappa honors as a Division I student-athlete in the Mountain West Conference.

Jared Dauman is the Co-Founder & Head of Operations at [Soda Health](/org/sodahealth). Jared has a background in developing growth and marketing strategies for ecommerce startups. At [Walmart](/org/walmart), they were a Program Manager for Directed Spend where they generated lists of potential partners, growth targets, and clients. Jared also created presentations and follow-up materials for potential investors. At Zipline Labs, they were a User Growth Coordinator and Skandalaris Center Summer Intern where they developed growth and marketing strategies for ecommerce startups. Jared also generated lists of potential partners, growth targets, and clients.

Jared Dauman has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (B.S.B.A) from Washington University in St. Louis and studied entrepreneurship and political science. Hank Hollenstain is currently a Principal Engineer at Soda Health. Prior to this, they were a Lead SRE at [Pager](/org/pager) from August 2021 to October 2021. Before that, they were a Principal Operations Engineer at [Rally Health](/org/rally-health-inc) from May 2018 to August 2021. Hank also worked as a DevOps Engineer at InVisionApp Inc from January 2016 to April 2018. Hank's career started as an Advance Support Engineer at [Zenoss](/org/zenoss) from May 2015 to January 2016, where they were an escalation point and assisted peers on harder ongoing issues. Hank also helped develop the team by providing assistance with technical training material. Nick's experience developing big data platforms and analytics services with Java has been essential in their role at [Soda Health](/org/sodahealth). In their previous positions, they developed federated search services on top of Presto/Trino and Athena, including custom connectors and JDBC implementation; integration with Elasticsearch, S3, Hive, Vertica, and others. Nick has also created streaming ingestion and processing platforms leveraging Kafka, Flume, Nifi, and Storm.

In addition to their work with big data platforms, Nick has also developed distributed, multithreaded, highly available applications capable of processing up to 12,000 events per second. Nick's experience with data archival and retrieval has been essential in their work at [Soda Health](/org/sodahealth). Nick has also worked on an S3 integration and ingestion platform, including the architecture of our S3 strategy. Nick's experience with Avro, Parquet, and ORC file processing and management has been invaluable in their role at [Soda Health](/org/sodahealth). Finally, Nick has modest deployment and other automation experience with Bash.

Umang Kapadia is a Principal Engineer at [Soda Health](/org/sodahealth). Umang has over 14 years of experience in the IT industry and has held various positions at different companies. Umang started their career as a Server Analyst at [Big Lots](/org/big-lots) and then moved on to Nationwide Insurance where they worked as a Consultant, Windows Production Engineer. Josie is devoted to bridging gaps- identifying solutions and resources to address specific issues.

She has supported many individuals considered marginalized and vulnerable to find their voice and advocate on behalf of their interests. Most recently, Josie worked for the Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities where she supported the department’s vision for an inclusive Georgia through deinstitutionalization and the implementation of community-based services for individuals with developmental disabilities. She managed the statewide crisis system and provided broad oversight to hundreds of community providers. Josie is keenly aware of the impact of social determinants of health on outcomes and will seek to provide creative, evidence-based solutions for [Soda Health](/org/sodahealth).

Josie Baker

Jon is passionate about development and infrastructure automation. If it's in the cloud, he wants to automate it.

As the third engineer at [InVision](/org/invision), he formed and led the devops/SRE team, fully migrated infrastructure into the cloud (AWS) and built tooling for better reporting around team goals and objectives. Most recently, Jon held various leadership roles at [Rally Health](/org/rally-health-inc) (which transitioned into Optum Digital).
