Ruth is Associate Director of Healthy & Sustainable Diets at the Soil Association. Her role is to lead the charity’s programmes in this area, including the award-winning Food for Life and Sustainable Food Places. Food for Life works in schools and early years settings, across the wider public sector and in children’s food environments to transform food quality and food culture. It works in partnership with caterers, teachers, local authorities and business leaders towards its mission of everyone having access to good food: food that is good for people and for the planet.
Ruth’s background is in marketing and communications and she worked for 15 years across the private and third sectors, leading teams ranging from fundraisers to digital marketers, in industries from publishing to events. At the Soil Association Ruth was Head of Comms & Marketing for supporters, citizens and Food for Life.
