Roland Folz is the current CEO at Solarisbank. Prior to this, they worked at Deutsche Bank AG from June 2009 to December 2016, where they held various positions, including Managing Director, CFO for Global Purchasing and Cost Management, CFO for EMEA, and CFO for Retail and Business Customers. Roland was also a member of Senior Executive Compensation Committee, Global Operating Committee, Group Finance ExCo, and Global Regulatory Operating Committee. Before Deutsche Bank, Roland Folz worked at CORESTATE Capital Holding S.A. From November 2017 to May 2020, they were the Deputy Chairman of the Supervisory Board at Godewind Immobilien AG. Roland has also been a member of the board at Fürst Fugger Privatbank AG and NÜRNBERGER Versicherung Beteiligungs-AG, where they chaired the Audit Committee. Additionally, Roland Folz has been chairman of the Supervisory Board at Studio Babelsberg AG since June 2008, and a member of the Board at T-Com/T-Home since January 2005.

Roland Folz has a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from the University of Illinois Chicago in Finance, International Business, and Strategic Management. Roland also has a Master's Degree in Business Mathematics from Ulm University. Roland is certified from BaFin, Bundesanstalt für Finanzdienstleistungsaufsicht in Full Banking License.
