Steve Shead

Steve Shead is currently the CIO at Solarity Credit Union. Steve was previously at Technology Credit Union (Tech CU) from July 2019 to January 2022, where they served as CTO and CIO.

At Tech CU, Steve led the Engineering, IT Operations, Information Security, Business Intelligence and Analytics and End User Services groups. Steve was responsible for transforming the IT organization into a highly motivated, passionate, transparent and respected organization within Tech CU by engaging staff at all levels and creating an atmosphere of inclusion and self expression.

Steve was also responsible for engaging with executive leadership in the strategic vision of next generation technology and building a platform and services that push Tech CU ahead of the competition by differentiating and diversifying through innovative technology. Additionally, they rebuilt and fortified the trust relationship between IT and the business and become the services organization that uses technology to force the curve by implementing automation, repeatable process, cloud technologies and expresses success through digital transformation.

Steve is inspired by genius and driven by passion.

Steve Shead studied aeronautical engineering at the Royal Air Force Halton School of Trade Training. Steve then went on to work as an engineer for the Royal Air Force.
