Mithun Sikder

Mithun Sikder, Ph.D., is a highly experienced environmental scientist with a robust background in analytical chemistry and project management. As the Manager of the Inorganic Lab for Consumer Solutions at Solenis since October 2020, Mithun previously held positions as a Senior Staff Scientist and Research Fellow at Smith College, where mentoring and overseeing significant research projects were key responsibilities. Earlier experience includes serving as a lab manager and research scientist at the University of South Carolina, leading a NSF-funded project on nano-toxicity and contributing to numerous publications. Mithun's expertise is complemented by roles as a research intern with the U.S. Geological Survey and a design engineer for the Bangladesh Water Development Board, along with educational credentials that include a PhD in Environmental Health Science and a Master's in Environmental Engineering.
