Vikas Gurugunti

Vikas Gurugunti is the current COO at Sonata Software. Vikas has previous experience as EVP and GM at Rackspace from August 2019 to January 2021. As a Global leader for Rackspace Products and Offerings, Gurugunti was responsible for the company's portfolio of products, solutions, application and data management services business. The integrated suite of solutions and services offerings enabled Rackspace to adapt to customer's evolving hybrid cloud needs that spanned across infrastructure, applications, data & security in providing Fanatical Experience.

Before joining Rackspace, Gurugunti was the Chief Operating Officer at Sonata Software from October 2017 to August 2019. Vikas was responsible for worldwide Sonata's business growth, go-to-market (sales, market-fit offerings, marketing and solution ecosystem alliances), strategic business development, client relationships, and account operations. Gurugunti was also responsible for three acquisitions during their time at Sonata Software.

From June 2015 to September 2017, Gurugunti served as Vice President and General Manager CPG and Retail Industry at Hewlett-Packard. Prior to that, they were the SVP & Global Head, Financial Services, Manufacturing, Hitec, Telecom,Retail across NA, EMEA and APJ at MphasiS from April 2004 to May 2015.

Vikas Gurugunti has an executive development program from The Wharton School in general management. Vikas also has an MBA from Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad and a degree from Indian Institute of Technology, Madras in executive development program focused on M&A, PE, and Alliances from Northwestern University - Kellogg School of Management.

Vikas Gurugunti reports to Samir Dhir, CEO. Vikas Gurugunti works with Muralee Bhaskar - CEO, Encore Software Services, Sujit Mohanty - Managing Director & CEO, Sonata Information Technology Ltd., and Sivaram Rajangam - VP, Head of IP Business.
