Wesley Wang

Wesley Wang is a highly accomplished filmmaker and competitive chess player. Currently serving as Director and Writer at Sony Pictures Entertainment since April 2024, Wang is working on a feature film adaptation of "nothing, except everything." This project makes Wesley the youngest director in history to secure a film at a major studio. At Atrix Media, Wesley has directed and written multiple projects, including the feature "NOTHING, EXCEPT EVERYTHING," starring industry talents David Mazouz and Lily Chee, produced by award-winning Scott Aharoni. In addition, notable short films such as "EVE," which premiered at the LA Shorts International Film Festival, and "FACES," winner of the 2020 American Visions Award, highlight Wang's diverse skills. As Co-Founder of CHESSanity, a nonprofit promoting chess among under-resourced K-12 students across the U.S., Wesley has positively impacted over 5,000 students. As a competitive chess player, Wang achieved All-American status six consecutive years and won national championships eleven times. Education includes enrollment at Harvard University from August 2022 to May 2026.
