Balazs Laurenczy

Balazs Laurenczy is an experienced bioinformatician with a strong background in neuroscience. From January 2020 to January 2023, Balazs held multiple positions at SOPHiA GENETICS, progressing from Bioinformatician to Senior Bioinformatician and Expert Bioinformatician. Prior experience includes working as an Assistant de recherche at CHUV in nuclear medicine and molecular imaging from September 2019 to January 2020, and as a Scientific Software Specialist at ETH Zürich, where Balazs focused on container technologies and workflow design from June 2016 to June 2018. Balazs also contributed to bioinformatics projects as a Civil Servant at SIB Swiss Institute of Bioinformatics in 2012. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Neuroscience from the University of Zurich and a Master's degree in Neuroscience from the University of Geneva.
