Brian Williams

Brian Williams, P.E. is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in transmission and distribution engineering. Currently serving as the Transmission Line Design Manager at Southern Company since June 2021, Brian also held the position of Transmission Line Design Supervisor. Prior roles include Distribution Engineering Supervisor and Network Underground Engineering Manager at Georgia Power Company from March 2019 to June 2021, where leadership involved directing teams to develop customer-focused engineering solutions. Brian's earlier experience at Southern Company includes serving as Transmission Line Design Team Leader and Transmission Line Design Engineer, focusing on the evaluation and design of medium and high voltage transmission lines. Brian commenced a professional career at Mississippi Power as a Power Plant Engineer, overseeing critical plant systems. Brian holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Mississippi State University, obtained between 1992 and 1998.
