Gerald Bryant is currently the EVP & Chief Nursing Officer at [Lake Charles Memorial Health System](/org/southwest-louisiana-hospital-association-inc). Prior to this, they served as the Chief Nursing Officer/Chief Operating Officer at Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas from January 2008 to November 2014. Gerald has also served as the Chief Nursing Officer at Wesley Medical Center from June 2007 to January 2008. Gerald Bryant's educational career began with him obtaining their Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Lousiana at Monroe. Gerald then went on to obtain their Master of Nursing from McNeese State University in the field of Nursing Administration. Finally, they obtained their Doctor of Nursing Practice from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Executive Leadership.

Daniel Aguillard has been working in the healthcare industry for over 20 years. Daniel started their career as a hospital administrator and quickly transitioned into a development role. Daniel has experience working for both small and large healthcare organizations. In 2013, they were hired as the President of [Seaside Healthcare](/org/seaside-healthcare-llc). Daniel was responsible for expanding the company throughout Louisiana and into North Carolina and Georgia. Within four years, they grew the company from $20M in annual revenues to $100M. In 2018, they left [Seaside Healthcare](/org/seaside-healthcare-llc) to become the VP of Specialty Services at Lake Charles Memorial Health System.

Daniel Aguillard has a MHA from [Tulane University](/org/tulane-university) and a Master's degree in Clinical/Medical Social Work from Louisiana State University.

Amanda Ellington, MD, is a board-certified general surgeon with the Memorial Medical Group.

Dr. Ellington graduated Magna Cum Laude with a degree in biological sciences from Louisiana State University. She went on to achieve her medical degree from Louisiana State University Medical Center in Shreveport. Her post-graduate training includes an internship and residency in general surgery at Louisiana State University Medical Center in Shreveport.

Dr. Ellington is board-certified in general surgery with a focus on breast cancer and surgical breast disease. She is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society, a member of the American Society of Breast Surgeons, Isidore Cohn, Jr. – James D. Rivers Surgical Society, and the John C. McDonald Surgical Society.

Amanda Ellington

Dr. Edward Bergen serves on the Memorial Health System Board of Trustees as president-elect of the medical staff. In the absence of the president, Dr. Bergen will assume the responsibility for performance improvement, quality assurance, and physician advocacy.

Dr. Bergen is a fellowship-trained interventional cardiologist with the Memorial Medical Group. He is a graduate of Rutgers University and he received his medical degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey – School of Osteopathic Medicine. His post-graduate medical training includes an internship/residency in internal medicine and fellowships in cardiology and cardiac devices, at Brooke Army Medical Center. He also completed an interventional cardiology fellowship at the University of Texas Health Science Center – San Antonio.

Edward Bergen

Steven Stanic serves as the Chief Information Officer for the Memorial Health System where he develops and leads the technology efforts, strategic objectives, and tactical execution of implementing best-in-class innovative technology solutions.

Steven came to Memorial in 2021 with over 30 years of successful experience in implementing technology to leverage performance improvement throughout healthcare organizations. For the past eleven years he has served as Vice President and Chief Information Officer with Mississippi Baptist Health System in Jackson Mississippi, and prior to that served as VP/CIO for the Juran Institute based in Southington, Connecticut. He was the National Director of Perot Systems in Plano, Texas, where he was responsible for clinical implementations of over 100 hospitals; and also served as VP/CIO for Memorial Health System in Savannah, Georgia.

Steven Stanic

In this role, Michael assists in the operational leadership of several key departments and projects.

Born and raised here in SWLA, the Sulphur native graduated from McNeese State University with a Bachelor of Science in Clinical Laboratory Science. Working in the laboratory as a generalist, departmental supervisor, and as director, Michael’s passion for leadership and improving his community’s healthcare inspired him to further his education. While remaining an American Society of Clinical Pathologists and LSBME certified clinical laboratory scientist, Michael also achieved his Master’s Degree in Healthcare Administration from LSU Shreveport. He is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives.

Michael Ardoin

Devon Hyde serves as President and CEO of Lake Charles Memorial Health System. He assumed the role on April 12, 2021, and is the fifth CEO of Memorial since its opening in 1952.

Mr. Hyde came to Memorial with 15 years of executive healthcare management experience having led both for-profit and not-for-profit hospitals and medical centers throughout the United States. He served as the CEO of Presbyterian Hospital, the largest acute care hospital in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Prior to that, he was the CEO at AllianceHealth Deaconess in Oklahoma City, and the Chief Operating Officer at Hillcrest Medical Center in Tulsa and Valley Hospital Medical Center in Las Vegas, respectively.

Mr. Hyde has a degree in business administration from the University of Oklahoma and a Master of Business Administration from Oklahoma City University. He is a member of, the American College of Healthcare Executives and the Institute of Healthcare Executives and Suppliers.

Devon Hyde

Mitchell Adrian is the current director at Lake Charles Memorial Health System. Mitchell has also served as the provost and vice president of academic affairs and enrollment management at McNeese State University from July 2017 to August 2021. Prior to that, they were the department chair and associate professor at Longwood University from January 1996 to December 2006. Adrian has also been self-employed as well as a manager and mechanic at different companies throughout their career.

Mitchell Adrian has a D.B.A. in Management from [Mississippi State University](/org/mississippi-state-university), an M.B.A. in Business Management from Midwestern State University, and a B.S. in Management from McNeese State University. Mitchell is currently a Professor of Business Management at Longwood University.

Daniel Hall is currently a Board of Director at Lake Charles Memorial Health System. Daniel was previously a Resident Physician at South Miami Hospital of Baptist Health from July 2011 to June 2014. Before that, they were a Moss Memorial Clinic of Lake Charles Memorial Hospital.
