Senior Advisor at SpaceX

Thomas Mueller is an American rocket engineer and rocket engine designer. He is a founding employee of SpaceX, a space transport services company headquartered in Hawthorne, California. He is best known for his engineering work on the TR-106, the Dragon spacecraft propulsion, and Merlin Rocket Engines. For many years, Thomas led Propulsion Engineering for SpaceX; he served as VP, Propulsion Engineering from 2002 until 2014, and in 2014, he was named Propulsion CTO. In 2019, he moved to become a part-time Senior Advisor to the company, focusing on new technology developments for SpaceX propulsion, including Mars main propulsion and surface power.
