Asanka Upamal

Asanka Upamal is a seasoned IT professional with extensive experience in support engineering and information technology management. Currently serving as a Support Engineer specializing in Linux/Unix at Spark New Zealand since April 2022, Asanka previously worked at Gardner Smith IT in a similar role from January 2021 to April 2022. Notable past positions include Head of Information Technology at the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka, IT Manager at IIT (Informatics Holdings), Assistant Network Manager at the Faculty of Engineering University of Ruhuna, Network Administrator at Ceylinco Insurance Plc, and Systems Administrator at the University of Colombo School of Computing. Asanka holds a Master of Information Technology with a focus on IT Management from Charles Sturt University and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Mathematics from the University of Colombo.
