Joseph Pacold

Joseph Pacold has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in software development, computational research, and molecular biology. Joseph is currently employed at Spatial Corp as a Software Developer - Geometry since July 2019. Prior to that, Joseph worked as a Computational Scholar at Altius Institute for Biomedical Sciences from February 2017 to June 2019. Joseph served as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Berkeley Lab from October 2014 to January 2017. Joseph also worked as a Research Assistant at the University of Washington from September 2009 to September 2014. Additionally, they gained experience as a Summer Research Student at the MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology in 2009. Earlier in their career, Joseph worked as the Head Counselor at the Ross Math Program in the summer of 2008.

Joseph Pacold earned their Bachelor of Science degree in Physics and Mathematics from Indiana University Bloomington from 2004 to 2008. Joseph then pursued a Master's Degree in Applied Mathematics from the University of Cambridge from 2008 to 2009. Following this, they completed their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Physics at the University of Washington from 2009 to 2014.
