Petar Shomov

Chief Technology Officer at Spectaflow

Petar Shomov's work experience includes a range of roles in the technology sector. Petar began their career at InTechna Ltd. in 1998, where they worked as a Software Developer on a project involving inventory organization and synchronization. Petar then joined DecArt Ltd. in 1998, where they developed jukebox software using DirectX 6.0. In 1999, Shomov moved to EUROSYS ltd., participating in the development of an automated system for remote analysis and control of district central heating systems. At FRISK Software International, they served as a Senior Software Developer from 2000 to 2006, working on projects related to installation programs and antivirus software. Shomov then joined Industria in 2006 as a Software Developer, working on a telecom integration solution. In 2008, they co-founded Sprettur, where they served as a Software Developer and Coach. From 2014 to 2015, Shomov co-founded and served as a Product Developer at Kolibri. Petar then worked at Activity Stream Inc. from 2015 to 2019, first as a Senior Software Developer and later as a VP of Engineering and Operations. In 2019, Shomov co-founded Andes ehf. and became a Certified Cloud Practitioner. Since 2018, they have been with Sweeply as the Chief Technology Officer, responsible for delivery capabilities, security posture, and technology adoption.

Petar Shomov pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Háskóli Íslands, starting in 2002 and completing in 2005. Prior to that, they attended the Department of Computer Systems and Control, however, the specific institution is not mentioned.
