Amitay Levi

Amitay Levi brings to Spin Memory more than 35 years semiconductor industry experience in advanced technology development of non-volatile memory. Prior to joining the company, Amitay spent several years at Crocus Technology as the Vice President of Technology Development, working on the development of TAS MRAM technology at TowerJazz and IBM. Before that, Amitay was instrumental in the success of Silicon Storage Technology, Inc. (SST), where he served as Vice President of Embedded Technology. At SST Amitay was responsible for supporting technology licensing and developing Embedded SuperFlashTM technology for multiple foundries and IDMs. In an earlier position at SST as Vice President, Advanced Development, Amitay led his group in developing many generations of SuperFlash technology for stand-alone chip products. Prior to SST, Amitay held various engineering management positions at Xicor, Inc. Amitay earned an M.S. degree in Microelectronics and a Ph.D. in Material Science, both from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
