Jason Lee is the Chief Information Security Officer at Splunk. Prior to joining Splunk, Jason was the Senior Vice President of Security at Salesforce from September 2017 to June 2020. In this role, Jason was responsible for increasing the maturity of each security function to a world class benchmark. Jason was also heavily customer facing, providing transparency to security incident and vulnerabilities at the executive levels.

Before their time at Salesforce, Jason was the Principal Director of Security Engineering - Windows Devices Group (WDG) at Microsoft from January 2002 to September 2017. In this role, Jason was responsible for all operational aspects of security for the WDG, including incident response, intrusion detection, threat intelligence, system security, crypto operations, identity and access management, network security, threat and vulnerability management, security operations center, Devops for security systems, and red team.

Jason Lee has a BA in MIS from Washington State University and a certification from ISC2 in CISSP. Jason also has a certification from nCipher plc in NCipher Certified System Engineer.

They are on a team with Katie Bianchi - SVP, Chief Customer Officer, Garth Fort - SVP, Chief Product Officer, and Christian Smith - SVP, Chief Revenue Officer. Jason Lee reports to Gary Steele, President & CEO.
